Pricing
-
Flash is priced per piece. I provide a flat rate quote at the beginning of the appointment which is calculated based on an estimated hourly rate of $150- $170 sliding scale which only applies to the time spent tattooing. If, while doing the tattoo, we go over the estimated time by more than 30 minutes, I will communicate this to you and we can decide together how to proceed. I do my best to honor the quotes I provide.
Most pieces take 1-4 hours to complete, see pricing guide and examples below.
simple modifications (stretching, cropping, collaging) will not be charged. more than 30 minutes of adjustments will be charged at $50/hour
$50 deposit for small/medium, $100 deposit for large/full day. deposit deducted from final cost.

My pricing is a result of very careful calculations. I take into account my experience level and quality of healed work, alongside business expenses, equipment costs, studio costs, supply costs, administrative time, time spent drawing and preparing flash, social media, tax, and healthcare expenses. I am only able to take 4 appointments per week, as my ability to work is limited by chronic pain. My entire income is from tattooing, and my take home is less than 50% of the final cost of your tattoo. My hourly rate is average for someone of my skill and experience level, working in the San Francisco Bay Area. While I aim to stay accessible by providing reduced rate tattoos for BIPOC, tattoos are a luxury and the cost is a reflection of hours upon hours of labor beyond the appointment itself.
-
Because I set my own rates according to this careful calculation, and my prices reflect a fair wage, I do not expect tips for the appointment and will not be offended if you do not tip. I adore non-monetary tips: herbs, ceramics, clothing, prints, jewelry, books, rocks/nature objects, plants, handmade beautiful things you make <3

A tattoo is an investment, and ultimately a luxury item. I offer reduced rates for QTBIPOC who don’t see themselves represented in mainstream tattoo culture (often more melanated skin tones). I can offer a payment plan if necessary, which requires half the cost paid up front, and the other half paid over a period between 2-6 weeks.
I have experimented with sliding scale, and ultimately decided it does not work with my business structure.
I am usually willing to work with budgets to design/size something to fit what you’re able to afford. This is limited by design principles for longevity (I can’t do something really detailed super small)

Cash is King! I also accept Zelle. No venmo/paypal, thanks!

My ability to work quickly and well depends on the health of your skin. Pieces can take twice as long on unexfoliated, unmoisturized, dehydrated or sunburned skin.
see examples of tattoos and how long they took below :)
